Material in a play space is not just a question of longevity. It sets the temperature of the object, its scale, tactile sensation, aging process, and the child’s relationship with the environment.
We do not choose material based on the principle of "cheaper" or "easier to make." First, we understand what exactly the object should do: invite touch, withstand high loads, work in frost, stand under the open sky, feel warm to the touch, preserve the plasticity of a complex form, or become part of a natural landscape.
Therefore, in every project, we look for the balance between image, structure, safety, operation, and budget — without automatically replacing an individual solution with a standard one.
