So that the project is preserved in reality

Between the working project and the finished space, many decisions always arise: regarding materials, nodes, levels, work sequence, replacement of items, and interaction between different contractors.

Author’s supervision helps to preserve the logic of the project at all these stages — so that the finished facility corresponds not only to the documentation but also to the original idea.

The project continues at the construction site

No documentation can describe in advance everything that will be encountered on-site. During implementation, clarifications arise: actual site conditions change, questions appear regarding interfaces with landscaping and engineering networks, samples need to be checked, material replacements need to be approved, or a solution for a complex node needs to be chosen.

Without author’s supervision, each such decision may be made separately — and gradually lead the object away from the original concept.

We accompany the project during the implementation process so that all changes come together into a single logic: preserving the image of the space, working constructively, considering safety, not interfering with installation, and not worsening future operation.

Working with the project in real conditions

The scope of author’s supervision depends on the stage and complexity of the project, but usually includes:
  • Participation in the kick-off meeting with the client, contractors, and related specialists.
  • Explaining design solutions to the team implementing the object.
  • Checking the compliance of works with the approved concept and working documentation.
  • Addressing questions that arise on-site during construction and installation.
  • Checking samples of materials, surfaces, colors, textures, and individual elements.
  • Participating in the approval of permissible replacements and adjustments.
  • Clarifying solutions regarding nodes, connections, levels, placement of objects, and other details.
  • Site visits in an agreed format.
  • Recording comments and recommendations based on inspection results.
  • Participating in the final inspection before handing over the facility.

Author’s supervision does not replace technical supervision, the functions of the general contractor, the client’s construction control, or quality control from the manufacturer. Its task is to maintain the author’s and spatial logic of the project during the implementation process.

We don’t observe from the sidelines — we help solve problems

01. We agree on the work format
We determine at which stages and with what frequency the team’s participation is needed: key site visits, regular inspections, working with samples, remote consultations, and participation in acceptance.
02. We hold a kick-off meeting
We meet the implementation participants, clarify the sequence of work, critical points of the project, and the communication procedure for emerging issues.
03. We check key stages
We get involved at moments when decisions particularly affect the outcome: site preparation, foundation installation, production of non-standard elements, installation, laying of surfaces, placement of objects, landscaping, and final assembly.
04. We review changes
If there is a need to change a solution on-site, we assess the consequences: for the concept, safety, structures, related works, and operation. After that, we suggest an acceptable option or look for an alternative.
05. We record the result
Based on site visits and inspections, we send comments, feedback, or agreed-upon solutions. This helps all project participants move within a single coordinate system.
06. We participate in the final check
Before opening, together with the client and implementation participants, we look at how the space is assembled as a whole: not just individual elements, but also routes, scale, usage logic, materials, and the overall impression.

Details that make up the whole

Author’s supervision is not about looking for mistakes just to make comments. It is about a careful attitude toward the decisions that determine whether the space will work as a unified whole.
On-site, we check:

  • Preservation of the key spatial and architectural idea.
  • Placement of objects, distances, heights, and connections between zones.
  • Materials, textures, shades, and quality of samples.
  • Compliance of elements with approved solutions.
  • Interfaces of objects with surfaces, topography, landscaping, and engineering systems.
  • Logic of play routes and possibilities for using the space.
  • Solutions affecting safety, durability, and future operation.
  • Quality of final assembly and integrity of the environment’s perception.

A complex object requires the author’s presence

Author’s supervision is especially useful if:
  • The project includes individual play objects, non-standard forms, or complex geometry.
  • The space is created based on an authorial architectural or artistic concept.
  • Several contractors are working on-site simultaneously.
  • The project includes landscaping, surfaces, lighting, navigation, play elements, and amenities that need to be assembled into a single environment.
  • The site has complex topography, existing foundations, engineering constraints, or a non-standard sequence of works.
  • Implementation is taking place in a remote region, in a difficult climate, or under tight deadlines.
  • It is necessary to preserve the character of the project amidst inevitable adjustments.

Clear control of key decisions

Depending on the agreed format, the client receives:

  • A schedule and scope of author’s supervision.
  • Participation of the bureau’s architects in key implementation stages.
  • Conclusions on questions and changes arising on-site.
  • Recommendations on materials, samples, nodes, and interfaces.
  • Comments based on site visits or remote inspections.
  • Participation in the final check of the finished space.
  • An agreed logic of solutions, clear to the client, contractors, and other project participants.

We will preserve the project down to the last detail

Author’s supervision can be connected simultaneously with design or at the stage when implementation has already begun. Tell us what is happening at the facility — together we will determine the format of the team’s participation.
